Herbs and Supplements

Recent law in the Europe requires companies marketing herbs and supplements to prove that what they are claiming for these products is the truth and is backed up by scientific evidence (regulation of these products varies across other parts of the world). This means that these products must conform to similar regulations applied to conventional drugs (i.e. the sort prescribed by your doctor) they must be high quality, consistent and safe. Unfortunately, many unregulated products from outside of the EU are still available to purchase using the internet!

Images shows 2 hands. One is holding a glass of water and the other is reaching for a gelatine capsule from a pill box.

The UK NHS offers the following advice on the purchase and use of these products and we strongly suggest you read this before proceeding with any purchases
