Severe invasive Aspergillus sinusitis in a 2 year-old patient with acute myeloid leukaemia

Case number: 



A 2 year-old girl was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia M5 and developed invasive A. fumigatus sinusitis. The infection occurred despite prophylactic use of Ambisome. Prompt clinical response was observed to voriconazole, in association with aggressive surgical treatment.
