The present study was carried out with an objective to perform antifungal susceptibility testing and determine the MICs of five antifungal drugs viz., itraconazole, posaconazole, voriconazole, amphotericin B and caspofungin against clinical and environmental Fusarium isolates. CLSI reference method according to the M38-A2 documentfor broth microdilution susceptibility testing was followed. Of the eight Fusarium isolates that were tested, four were sensitive only to amphotericin B, making it the only antifungal drug to show consistent action against Fusarium. The rest of the antifungals showed unsatisfactory action against Fusarium. ‘Corresponding author E-mail:[email protected]
