Summary:
This smoker developed a pneumothorax as a result of emphysema, which required surgical a stapling of bullae for resolution. She then developed pulmonary tuberculosis and within the 2 years the early features of chronic cavitary pulmonary aspergillosis. This gradually evolved over four years with remarkable weight loss. She became bed bound. She commenced itraconazole with marked improvement.
