Summary:

This 19-year-old black male post allogeneic cord transplant for acute myelogenous leukemia-M4 (AML), developed epistaxis and fever and sinus infiltrates consistent with invasive sinus aspergillosis; received micafungin for 77 days in combination with AmBisome after failing a total of 54 day period on AmBisome therapy, including 21 days of combination therapy with AmBisome and caspofungin; the patient achieved a partial response.
