‘Microfungi.net’ is the only comprehensive and University-accredited course on fungal microscopy available online, and today sees the release of its final module, ‘Advanced Fungal Histology’.
This module, the last in a series of four, aims to equip learners with advanced skills in microscopy and identification of rare types of disease-causing fungi. Students will learn about rarer or more unusual types of fungi, including agents of neglected tropical fungal diseases.
This course is particularly useful for medical professionals practising in developing countries, where the need for rapid diagnostic skills is greatest. The first 3 modules are also available in French, Spanish and Portuguese, and the course can be completed in the students’ own time, with no enforced deadlines for course elements.
“The Microscopy.net course will enable clinicians around the world to rapidly diagnose most fungal infections in minutes, saving lives” Prof. David Denning, Professor of Infectious Disease in Global Health at The University of Manchester.
If you would like to register on the course, visit microfungi.net, and follow the links to sign up for the first module.
