dk: Postdoc in genus-scale analysis of non-coding sequences in Aspergillus [1 y | Duties: This postdoctoral position offers the unique opportunity to work with high-quality genome sequences for an entire eukaryotic genus with more than 300 species. A central part in the project will be to develop bioinformatic tools to query this compendium of sequences. Following this development, the candidate will investigate dynamics of non-coding sequence at the genus level, spanning 200 million years of evolution. The post.doc will be responsible for daily management of the project in collaboration with the PI and co-PIs | Minimum Requirements: Candidates should have a PhD degree or equivalent. Furthermore, the successful candidate should have: A strong background in bioinformatics, in particular comparative genomics. Experience with Python programming and MySQL.
